Three school-aged individuals lacking appropriate identification badges were involved in an altercation during lunch on Wednesday, March 24. The individuals failed to sign in at the front desk and entered the campus unannounced and without permission through a locked entry point. The details of the altercation are being investigated. Appropriate criminal actions were taken against the visitors, and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with District policy.

For clarification:

no tasers were used (MISD Police officers do not carry tasers) ;
no weapons were involved;
the situation was defused in a timely manner and no injuries were sustained;
no additional police were called other than our District police assigned to the campus; and
all students returned to class for normal scheduled instructional activities.
