Sixteen Mansfield ISD high school students were selected to the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Band and Choir.
This selection is the highest individual music award to be given a student participating in Texas public school music education.
Their selection will culminate with a performance of each all-state ensemble at the state conference to be held in San Antonio in February. these students will perform with other Texas All-State students on Saturday, February 13, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio as part of the 2010 Texas Music Educators Association Convention. Being selected to an all-state ensemble not only the highest honor in the state, but many scholarship opportunities present themselves as well.
