bulldogs Danny Jones Middle School students competed in a Math and Science UIL competition at Azle High School on March 13 and are the first group of middle school students to represent MISD at an Academic UIL competition.

Congratulations to the following Danny Jones Middle School students:

DJMS won 5th in the Sweepstakes award in the UIL district 8-4A tournament.
Blaine Gilbert qualified for the championship meet in San Antonio.
The Calculator Applications Team claimed the 5th place overall award. Henry Isobe, Bryce Burke, and Daniela Rubio won 5th, 7th and 8th in Calculator Applications for 8th grade.
The Number Sense Team claimed the 3rd place overall award. Anesshwar Vivekananthan and Blaine Gilbert won 7th and 10th place in the 7th grade division. Andrew Pouttu, Drew Beeson, Alyssa Delker, and Bryce Burke won 5th, 7th, 9th and 10th place in the 8th grade division.
The Mathematics Team claimed the 4th place overall award. Blaine Gilbert won 3rd place in the 7th grade division and qualified for the championship meet in San Antonio on April 17. Henry Isobe and Drew Beeson won 5th and 7th place in the 8th grade division.
Jacob Duvall won 10th place in the 7th grade Science competition.
