Sixteen Mansfield ISD high school students were selected to the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Band, Choir, Orchestra or Jazz Ensemble.
This selection is the highest individual music award to be given a student participating in Texas public school music education.
Their selection will culminate with a performance of each all-state ensemble at the state conference to be held in San Antonio later this month. Several days of rehearsals beginning Wednesday, February 13 followed by the concerts held on Saturday February 16. Being selected to an all-state ensemble not only the highest honor in the state, but many scholarship opportunities present
themselves as well.
