The following is a list of campus holiday charity campaigns in the Mansfield ISD. Additional information will be added as more campuses respond to the call for information. It was necessary to post this information now as much of it is time-sensitive. Happy Holidays from Mansfield ISD.
Elementary Schools
Charlotte Anderson Elementary Student Council organized a “food fight” between 3rd and 4th grade to collect non perishable items for the Mansfield food pantry. This “food fight” will run through December 13.
Anna May Daulton Elementary Christmas Holiday – Each classroom had a Holiday card signed by each student. These were sent to VA Christmas Card Mail Call Program.
Carol Holt Elementary Angel Tree for students in need and their school age siblings. 64 angels have been taken and 29 are still available. Gifts are to be turned in by Dec. 6. Gift pick-up will be Dec. 17 & 18. Contact Cheryl Ferrell at 817.299.6460.
Student Council is holding a canned food drive.
Imogene Gideon Elementary Student Council members will be sponsoring Krafts for Kids where students at Gideon will make a craft that will be sent to the children's hospital to cheer up children.
Thelma Jones Elementary Canned Food Drive, hoping to beat their total of 8,000 from last year.
Erma Nash Elementary Angel Tree for Nash students in need.
Tarver-Rendon Elementary finished their canned food drive. It took place from Nov. 26 - Dec. 7 benefiting Bisbee Food Ministries. The campus collected over 4,500 cans.
Angel Tree campaign includes parents will be picking up the kiddos presents on the Dec 15 and 17 with over 100 kids adopted.
Mary Jo Sheppard Elementary Angel Tree for students and their families. Families fill out a wish list for each child and their younger siblings. Contact – Teresa Franklin at 817.299.6611.
Intermediate Schools
Della Icenhower Intermediate Angel Tree for several families in need. Contact Lisa Fields at 817.299.2700.
Mary Lillard Intermediate Angel Tree for students. Student government and Secret Agents Club will begin wrapping gifts on Dec. 3 & 4. Contact - LeeAnne Grommesh or Megan Pierce at 817.299.6260.
Lillard Leopard Leadership Team will be providing a Holiday Craft Party for about 20 homeless children living at the Union Gospel Mission in Fort Worth, on Dec. 19. This club meets every Friday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. At the December Friday meetings the student leaders will be making goody bags and will help each of the children at the Mission to make a gift ornament for their own teachers at Fort Worth ISD. Lillard students were able to help those less fortunate thanks to a $500 mini-grant provided by Kids Care Clubs.
Donna Shepard Intermediate PTA Angel Tree for students and their school age siblings. Present Pick-up will be on Monday, Dec. 10 and Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Mary Orr Intermediate Multiculture Club is having a sock drive.
The entire school is participating in a Toy Drive. The toys collected will go to the Mansfield Fire Department.
Middle Schools
James Coble Middle School VA Christmas Card Mail Call, the Social Studies department will be making cards to send on Dec. 5.
Toy Drive, Dec. 3–7. Student Council and Band will sponsor a toy drive and donate to Toys for Tots.
Second Annual Staff Community Service Day, Saturday, Dec. 8, Faculty and Staff will volunteer at the Mission Arlington Christmas Store 9:00 – 12:00.
National Junior Honor Society Methodist Mansfield Hospital Visit, Dec. 8, 1:00- 3:00 p.m. NJHS members will visit hospital patients and hand out candy canes.
Danny Jones Middle School Angel Tree for students in need. Items will be collected by Dec. 3, wrapped and delivered to students on Dec. 7. Contact – Mrs. Jager at 817.276.6200.
Rogene Worley Middle School Adopt a Child, the school adopts 22 Alice Ponder Elementary students. The student council gives each pair of Advisory’s $100.00 to buy gifts for the child. The children from Ponder come to Worley for a party on Dec. 14, 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Contacts – Mary Clare Steward and Jamie Gilmartin – 817.473.5668.
T.A. howard Middle School students collected items in their history classes to ship our soldiers in Iraq. Also, NJHS, Student Council, His Knights and FCA students worked together to fundraise for Adopt an Angel which provides clothing and toys to families in need in our district throught the Common Ground Network. Lastly, students participated in a Howard Hotfoot Fun Run set up by Tony Daud, a Summit Teen Leadership student, to raise money to provide for a family in need at our school for Christmas.
High Schools
Ben Barber Career Tech Academy PTSA- “Sock it to me” drive- donating socks and underwear. Culinary Arts are making and delivering pumpkin muffins to the Mansfield Nursing Home. Auto Tech students and teacher have been collecting money to purchase bicycles for the Angel Tree - Bikes for Angels program. [To date, 148 bicycles have been purchased.]
Mansfield Summit High School Key Club Sponsors Adopt-a-Child. Second period classes “adopt” a community child. Gifts will be brought to school on Dec. 14. Parents will pick up after school that day.
Mansfield Legacy High School Key Club is hosting the Giving Tree program through Common Grounds. Second period classes “adopt” a child, and are given the wish list for each. Gifts will be brought to school on Dec. 14. Parents will pick up on Dec. 18.
Mansfield Timberview High School Key Club charitable events: Sponsoring 40 children with the Adopt-Child program...Dec. 13th families pick up gifts; Ringing the bells for Salvation Army this weekend at the parks mall; Fund-raising to donate blankets to Arlington Shelter; and Volunteering at the nursing home.
