Mrs. Zumwalt's Mastery Club
Join the Mastery Club!
A Club for Students Interested in Learning!
The Mastery Club was created by Heather Renz, a teacher in Oregon, to challenge her students. I have borrowed this idea with her permission to challenge my 2nd graders to do more than what they "have" to do. This is a club for students who are interested in achieving "above and beyond" the normal classroom expectations. All you have to do is learn ALL about the topic.
To participate, choose an area of study and get your pencil and your Mastery Club notebook. Write your name and date for each activity, the name of the subject, and the number of the challenge. The paper you turn in must be in your very best handwriting and be organized and neat looking. You may not bring me pages printed directly from the Internet or copied from a book. Work MUST be in your own handwriting and you should be able to read and explain your answers to me. Turn in your Mastery Club notebook to the Mastery Club file box. You may turn in an achievement as soon as it is completed.
When you have completed 4 challenges, you will be awarded a "blue ribbon" for the Mastery Club wall. Your name will also then be added to the Mastery Club Hall of Fame. For each additional challenge you complete, a star will be added to your blue ribbon. You can be a 1 star member, all the way up to an 149 star member. Have fun!
You do not have to use the websites listed, however they may help you in your research!
Parents, I have taken extra measures to be sure all the links work and are kid-approved. If you find that something is out of order, please let me know immediately. As with all internet activities for children, adult supervision is encouraged. Help this be a wonderful learning experience. |
How many stars will you get??
Let the learning begin and join NOW!!
