This week's ITSie BIT: Saving an Unfinished eMail

How to save a draft in GroupWise:

1. With your unfinished email open, go to File > Save Draft on that's email's menu bar.

2. The Folders window will appear. Select the folder where you want to save the unfinished (draft) email. The default location is the "Work in Progress" folder.  (I usually change the location to Mailbox so I see it in my Mailbox.)
3. Click OK to close the Folders window.

4. You can now close the unfinished email.
5. To re-open the email, go to the location where you saved it in step #2 above.
Note that there is little pencil   beside the envelope icon for this email. This signifies that this email is in a draft mode.
As always, double click the icon to open the unfinished email.

6. Just like any unfinished document, you'll need to save changes before you close it. (File > Save Draft ---or--- Ctrl + S)
NOTE: You MUST remember to save. GroupWise will NOT reminder you to save it!

7. When you're ready to send it, save one last time, then hit Send.

That's it!

NOTE: IF you decide to trash the draft, close it, click on it to highlight it, & click the Delete key on your keyboard. This will delete the drafted email.

That's it!
