VARSITY EARNS 4TH AT INTERSCHOLASTIC

Ferris (AP)-  The Lady Tigers placed 4th at The Interscholastic hosted at The Old Brickyard Golf Club.  MHS fired rounds of 314-310 finishing 1 shot out of 3rd place.  Junior J. White earned a top 10 finish with rounds of 76-73.  Senior D. Dawson posted her MHS career tournament best of 77-76.  Junior K. Skelley shot 81-80, senior A. Leasor carded 83-81 and newcomer sophomore R. Dahl ended with 80-87.  The Lady Tigers are in action again this weekend at the Legacy Texas 2-Step.

JV Wins Division at Interscholastic

JV Girls Win 2nd Tournament of Year

Junior twins Ke. Stelter and Ka. Stelter placed 1st and 2nd while leading the MHS JV team to the championship of the "Lil' Girl Open" at the Old Brickyard GC.  Freshman L. Schexnaydre careered with 97 and sophomores T. Rotto and H. Rasor shot 98 and 100.  The JV will wrap up the fall season at Walnut Creek CC on 11/14.

 

Lady Tiger Varisty Team Places 2nd at Granbury

Granbury (AP)- The Lady Tiger golf team opened the 2011-2012 year at the Lady Pirate Invitational at Harbor Lakes CC.  MHS took an 8-shot lead over Colleyville Heritage on day 1 with a 316 score.  Junior K. Skelley shot 77 to lead the team.  Junior J. White and senior D. Dawson posted 79's with newcomer freshman T. Wilson firing 81 and senior A. Leasor shooting 82.  On day 2, MHS improved 7 shots, but it was Heritage that put up a sub-300 round and overtook the Lady Tigers.  Heritage's 299 was low enough to push the Lady Panthers past MHS by 2 strokes.  MHS played extremely well with White shooting a 1-over par 73 and earning a 2nd place finish overall.  Senior D. Dawson (157) and K. Skelley (157) both earned top 10 finishes.  Senior A. Leasor posted 78 to finish with 160.  T. Wilson, playing in her first varsity tournament, shot 162 in a consistent effort.  The Lady Tiger varsity GOLD team opens ints season on 10/11 in Fort Worth and on October 28-29, both MHS varsity teams will compete in the 3rd Annual NT Interscholastic at the Old Brickyard in Ferris. 

JV Girls Win Waxahachie JV Tournament

Sophomore T. Rotto shot her lowest MHS round to win the Waxahachie Lady Indian Fall Classic.  Rotto's 90 was 6 shots better than her nearest competitor, teammate Ke. Stelter (96).  Freshmen L. Noble (103), L. Suarez (104) and L. Schexnaydre (105) fired a 393 to win by 31 shots.
