website is designed to help coaches maintain their sports websites.
Keeping the websites updated is very important! Parents check the websites
regularly for news, schedules, and scores. Campus athletic coordinators are responsible for downloading the form for coaching assignments/contact information and the form for what coaches need access to what pages. Please fill out the forms and return them to the site manager as soon as possible. The Contribute access keys will be emailed to the coaches as soon as the access form is received by the site manager. Coaches are responsible for emailing schedules to the site manager as soon as they are finalized. |

| Who determines who gets access to what pages? The athletic coordinators on each campus will decide. The athletic coordinator will download the appropriate Coach Access form on the left and either email or send the form to the site manager through inter office mail. The site manager is Catherine Cobos and is on the Summit High School campus. As soon as the form is received, the Contribute keys will be sent out. | |
| How do I get access to my sport's website? The first step is to get a key. A key is an attachment that you will need to download from an email sent to you by the site manager. You will need to download the key to your desktop. The next step is to click here to view and print the directions. The key can only be used on one computer and only one key can be used on a particular computer. If a computer is being used to access a teacher webpage, it cannot be used to access an athletic page. | |
| What if I don't have the Contribute software on my computer? Contribute is a district approved software package and should already be loaded on every school computer. If it is not on your computer, please contact the technology person on your campus and they will be able to download it to your computer. | |
| What is the site manager's responsibility and what is the coaches as far as keeping the website updated? The site manager will set up the page, the original schedule, coaches names and contact information, the map links, and will add any pictures. It is the coaches responsibility to add any news, calendars, game reports, game scores, and changes to the schedules. At any time a coach is having trouble making changes, please email the site manager with the information to be added. Please write the information in the email exactly as you want it to appear on the page. | |

| Where do the pictures come from that are added to the pages? Mansfield Athletics has set up a unique email address that coaches, parents, students, and players may send pictures to. The email address is sportpics@mansfieldisd.org. Please do not send picture slideshows. Coaches are encouraged to send photos as well. Don't forget to include what school, grade, and sport. | |
| How do I learn to use the Contribute software? The Contribute software comes with a great tutorial that is included with the software package. It only takes about 10 minutes to do the tutorial and it can be found by opening the Contribute software, and under Getting Starting in the lower left, there is a link called Contribute tutorial. Click on the link to begin. There is also instruction sheets at the bottom of this webpage. | |
| What if I want to do something that is not included in the tutorial? Make sure that it is not included at the bottom of this website. If not, email the site manager stating your ideas and instructions will be emailed to you. Please don't forget to include your school, grade, and sport in the email. | |

| How does the site manager get the schedules? Coaches are responsible for emailing the schedules to the site manager as soon as they are finalized. The sooner the better. Coaches must use the Excel form sent to them by Eric White. The site manager will get the schedules posted as soon as possible. This is the task that requires the most time because of the map links, so please be patient. Do not expect to send them one day before the season starts and see them posted the following day. | |
| Can I use my own format for the schedules that can be downloaded and printed from the individual sports pages? Yes. Create the schedule and email it to the site manager as an attachment. | |

| Can I change the format of the website? No. It is important to keep all the school athletic pages similiar. | |
| Do I have to keep the scores updated? Yes!!! Parents check the websites regularly and expect them to contain current information. | |
| Can more than one coach have access to the same page? No. The software is designed to have only one person access each page. | |
| Can a coach have access to more than one page and more than one sport? Yes, coaches can have access to as many sports at their school as they have been assigned by the athletic coordinator on their campus. Again, only one person can have access to each page. | |
| Can I use player's names on the webpages? Yes, but to protect our players, you must use first initial and last name. For example, John Smith would be listed J. Smith. | |
| Can I edit the webpages from home? We only have license to install Contribute on a school computer. If you have a school laptop, you do not have to be on the school server to update the page. | |

| What if there is an emergency change of location because of weather or construction? Go to the athletic page and post an emergency message under the news section. If you do not have access to the website, contact the person on your campus that does. If that person is unavailable, contact the site manager by email or in extreme cases, call Catherine Cobos at 817-473-5660. Leave message with secretary if site manager is unavailabe. | |
