Frontier High School

In the fall of 2010, Mansfield ISD opened Frontier High School, a new and innovative fifth high school option for students from Legacy, Summit, Timberview and Mansfield High Schools at Ben Barber Career Tech Academy.

This new school-within-a-school provides 2010-11 juniors an opportunity to be full-time students in a unique high school setting.

Students' academic and emotional readiness for college/career will be the major focus so students who enroll in FHS must be on the Recommended or the Distinguished Achievement graduation plan.

Classroom activities are designed to enhance students' creative thinking and problem-solving skills while increasing their effective leadership abilities with an emphasis on community service opportunities.
