The Mansfield ISD administration is sad to report that on Sunday, October 16, 2011, Cody McCarty, from Mansfield Timberview High School died. McCarty was the Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach for the Timberview varsity football team. In addition to coaching duties, Cody McCarty was an assistant baseball coach and a physical education teacher at the campus.

Grief counselors were made available at Timberview on Monday, October 17 for students needing assistance.

Our thoughts and concern are with McCarty's family during this time.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 20 at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church located at 1201 SH 360 Mansfield, Texas 76063.

Friday, October 21 6:00pm – Midnight - McCarty Family Fund Raiser
Timberview will have a fundraiser for the McCarty family at CiCi’s Pizza located at 5904 Cooper Street in Arlington. The location fundrasier will be $8 per person, $3 of which will be donated to the family.
