Mansfield, TX – The Mansfield ISD School Board approved three promotions and transfers for two principals and a central administrative position at their October Regular Meeting. All three administrators were hired from within the school district.
Holly McCanlies was named as the new Director of Guidance and Counseling. She has served 21 years in education and holds a Master’s Degree from Texas Woman’s University. She will start on February 6, 2012.
Mrs. McCanlies has been the Principal at Cross Timbers Intermediate School since the 2010-11 school year. Prior to that she was the Associate Principal at Haltom High School, a counselor and English teacher at Haltom High School as well as Sixth Grade Reading/Language Arts teacher at Haltom Middle School in the Birdville ISD.

DesMontes Stewart was named the new Principal at Legacy High School. He has served 12 years in education and holds a Master’s Degree from Prairie View A&M University.
He will start on February 6, 2012.
Mr. Stewart has been the Principal at T.A. Howard Middle School since the 2010-11 school year. Prior to that he was the Principal at S.H. Crowley Intermediate School and an Assistant Principal in the Crowley ISD as well as a teacher and coach in the Fort Worth ISD.

Donna O’Brian was named the new Principal at T.A. Howard Middle School. She has served 21 years in education and holds a Master’s Degree from Texas Christian University. She will start on February 6, 2012.
Mrs. O’Brian has been the Principal at Mary Lillard Intermediate School since the 2006-07 school year. Prior to that she was the Principal at Cross Timbers Intermediate and Assistant Principal at T.A. Howard Middle School.
