[September 8, 2010]
On Wednesday, September 8, 2010 three Mansfield ISD buses were delayed on the morning routes due to high water conditions in the western portion of the District.
The buses were on their way with students to Tarver-Rendon Elementary School and Shepard Intermediate School. County Road 606 became impassable and the buses stopped at the sight of high water in the center of the road.
The MISD Transportation Department, MISD Police and the fire department were contacted and arrived at the buses’ location to ensure student safety.
At no time were students in any danger and alternate transportation was established to transfer the students on to their campuses.

Update for parents: The buses involved were Bus #271 (Tarver-Rendon) and Bus #261 and #264 (Shepard Intermediate). |
