School Board Recognition Month: Thank You, Trustees
[January 18, 2011]
January 2011 is School Board Recognition Month and a good time to spotlight more than 7,000 men and women who serve local schools and help promote public education across Texas. The Mansfield ISD joins other districts to celebrate the contributions of these dedicated community leaders.
“Our board members are an exceptional group of community volunteers,” said District Superintendent, Dr. Bob Morrison.
“On behalf of the MISD, I'd like to thank our board for their dedicated service to our students and staff. I encourage our community to take some time and thank these women and men who devote their time and energy in making sure our students have the best possible educational opportunities.”
The Mansfield ISD School Board is a vital link between the community and the classroom. They bear responsibility for an annual budget of over $225 million, 32,000 students, more than 4,000 employees, and 39 campuses. Their job is not an easy one, but they share a commitment to serve this community and ensure that all students are given every opportunity to excel through education.
Members of the MISD Board of Trustees will receive their formal recognition from the District at the Tuesday, January 25, 2011 Regular Board Meeting.
