Mansfield ISD has made some administrative changes this week with the recent announcement of new leadership at Ben Barber Career Tech Academy/Frontier High School as well as at Worley Middle School.
Effective Tuesday, November 30, Christie Alfred was reassigned from her former position as Principal of Rogene Worley Middle School to her new position as Principal of Ben Barber/Frontier High School. The previous administrator at the campus, Jerri McNair, has left the District to pursue other professional opportunities.
Christie Alfred has been at Worley Middle School for 17 years; six years as an Assistant Principal and 11 as the Principal. Prior to her time in Mansfield she lived in Aurora, Illinois and taught for four years before becoming the Assistant Principal at Washington Middle School.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to serve as the Principal of Ben Barber/Frontier High School,” said Alfred. “I am looking forward to working with the faculty, staff, students and parents. Having been a part of the Mansfield school district as well as living in the community, I have had the unique opportunity to watch the growth and development of first Ben Barber and then the addition of Frontier High School.”
With the departure of Christie Alfred from the middle school, Wendell Joubert has been named the interim-principal of Rogene Worley Middle School. Mr. Joubert has served the Mansfield ISD for the past nine years, five of which as an Assistant Principal at Worley Middle School. He has 17 years in education.
The Mansfield ISD administration will open the Worley Middle School job in the Spring to internal and external candidates and will follow the normal procedures for filling this principal position. |
