 Legacy High School art students shine at the state visual art competition.
2010-2011 State Finals of the Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) took place in Houston, Texas on April 8 and 9. The Texas Art Education Association contest began with over 25,000 works of art from 20 regions across the state.
After a panel of judges narrowed the selection to 1,195 pieces, Legacy High School (LHS) was still in the running with 14 pieces of art by 11 students. Another round of judging resulted in a historical best for LHS, with nine Gold Medals and two Gold Seal State Medals.
