The Mansfield ISD High Schools' Marching Bands recently competed in UIL Marching contests. Here are the results:
UIL Region Marching - October 21
Class 4A Division I (Superior)
- Mansfield Legacy High School
- Mansfield Timberview High School
Class 5A Division I (Superior)
- Mansfield High School
- Mansfield Summit High School
Mansfield and Mansfield Summit High School Marching Bands went on to compete in the UIL Area B Marching Contest on Saturday, October 25.
[Updated Monday, October 27, 2008] Mansfield High School advanced out of the preliminary round and into the finals where they placed 6th overall and are the first-alternate to advance to the UIL State Marching Band finals for Area B.
This year, only 3A and 5A schools move on in the the UIL Marching Band contests. The top five bands from each area advance to the state competition.
