In her own words – Q&A with Donna Grant:
Why/how did you get into education?
“I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I idolized my teachers’ growing up, I thought of them as heroes. Interestingly enough, I still do. My high school coach made sure that I got the opportunity to go to college by taking me to the campus and helping me through the application process.”
What are you most proud of about your tenure at Summit HS?
“I am proud that we established ourselves early on as a campus that valued and respected students. With the quality and level of commitment on the part of our staff, we were able to set the bar for the rest of the district in terms of student achievement and success in our extra curricular programs.”
What are you most proud of about your time with MISD?
“I am proud to have completed my career in the Mansfield Independent School District. I have worked with some of the strongest professionals ever assembled in one district, and I have made friendships that will be valued forever. If I could have had my career to do over I would not change a single thing. I love this district and will be forever grateful to have served this community as the Principal of Summit High School.”
