New Trustee Takes Oath of Office
 At the Tuesday, June 27 MISD School Board Meeting, Michael Evans was sworn in as the new school board trustee for place 3.
Currently, Evans is the pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church. To support Evans, wife Lisa and son Richard along with other friends, family and church members attended the meeting.
Michael Evans takes the place of outgoing turstee Joy Keller, who after 12 years of voluntary service has decided to retire. Keller was elected to the board in May of 1995. She has served as president for four years (2000-2002, and 2004-2006), served as secretary (1997-1998) and served as vice president (1998-2000) during which the school board was named Texas Honor Board for 1999.

Regular Board Meetings are normally scheduled the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the MISD Board Room at the MISD Administrative Complex, 605 E. Broad, St., Mansfield, TX 76063.
