 Governor Rick Perry has proclaimed January as School Board Recognition Month and Mansfield ISD is joining other districts across the state to gratefully acknowledge local trustees' unfailing commitment to our communities and schools.
"The Mansfield ISD board of trustees volunteer their time to guide the district and pursue the optimum environment for all students in the Mansfield ISD. We are always thankful for their leadership, but if you get the chance, please take the time this month to thank our school board members for their hard work and dedication," said Mansfield ISD Superintendent Vernon Newsom.
The MISD board will be recognized at the regular school board meeting Tuesday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the MISD Board Room, 605 E. Broad St., Mansfield. Prior to the meeting, the Ben Barber Career Tech Academy Culinary Arts students will honor the board members by making and serving them a gourmet dinner.
