 At the February Board Meeting, the MISD Board of Trustees announced Kelly Campbell as the new principal for Holt Elementary School. Holt Elementary will open its doors fall 2007.
Campbell has been with the district since 1995, starting out as a Language Arts teacher at T.A. Howard Middle School. Then moved on to Cross Timbers Intermediate School to serve as the Department Coordinator of Language Arts. Currently, Campbell is the Assistant Principal at Roberta Tipps Elementary School. Campbell received his Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Missouri in 1994. In 2001, he received his Masters of Education in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Some of Campbell's contributions and activities include: Serving on the City of Mansfield Public Library Advisory Board from 2006 to present day. Helping organize a Dads Club in 1999 to 2001 and in 2005 to present day. Five-time MISD Education Foundation grant winner, and has contributed to six additional winning grants.
Holt Elementary School is located in Arlington at Ledbetter and Harris Roads.
